I’ve been addicted lately to natural wools–white, off white, brown. Currently working on the Harbor Scarf in Cascade Softspun, colorway #2808, white. I think this yarn takes the gentle honeycomb cable nicely.

In a fashion book that just came in for my library; its meant to give you inspiration, and since I’ve started incorporating the bow tie into my regular wardrobe to much fanfare, I thought it was fitting that the first page I turned to upon skimming the book was this one. Indeed.

5in. Gingher Sonia Sewing Scissors, designer series (similar to these ones). Gifted to me by my Mum this past Christmas. I can’t stop staring at them. Every major knitter/sewer should have a pair of these, and always keep them distant from those people with paper in hand.

Gorgeous handmade oblong pouch from bookhou at home. I keep odds and ends in it, like mints and chapstick. Perfect for both a small bag and a big one. Get one, now.

Peyote beading around a bottle opener. This triangle design has been my favorite thus far; have done 3 or 4 more with this very design, but might now retire it.

A delicious Great Divide Hibernation downtown, late afternoon. Gorgeous beers this time of year.

Shiitake mushrooms and red onions, cooked low and slow for a spinach salad with hot balsamic dressing. Amazing.

End of May Mittens, gifted to my sister for Christmas this year. Easy colorwork done in worsted weight–Cascade 220 Heathers for the main, Cascade 220 for the contrasting. 220 Sport was used for the inner cuff. Little details make these mittens special.
