I’ve made more than one of these Piksi hats for friends; but finally, a bright Malabrigo Merino Worsted red drew me in and forced me to make one of these adorable hats for myself. This hat certainly helps further along my current obsession with combinations of stockinette, garter, and reverse stockinette stitches, as well as giant poms.

Pleased, much. But, I think I’ll make another one soon with some mods to the initial ribbing–creating a 1×1 instead of a 2×2.
