f.o. : ripple crop top.

For some reason, this Ripple Crop Top by Jessie Mae Martinson took me forever to complete. I cast on during an epic August camping road trip through the Southwest the doc and I took, and didn’t manage to finish it until the start of October. I did keep putting it down, but it felt likeContinue reading “f.o. : ripple crop top.”

knit | notch hem tank.

Another tank top? In linen yarn? Why, yes! It’s summer, after all. This is Purl Soho’s Notched Hem Tank and I love it. I knit this using Quince and Co. sparrow in the new salt and pepper marle color way called rille. And it’s a dream. I love the details on the side of theContinue reading “knit | notch hem tank.”

knit | kai tank.

I’m on a linen yarn kick and I love making tank tops. This summer seemed to take forever to get here; and so while I begged for warmer skies this spring, I knit up a Kai Tank top using Quince and Co. kestrel linen yarn in the graphite color way. The only modifications I madeContinue reading “knit | kai tank.”

make | hand painted necklaces.

And then, I remembered I had antiqued leather and linen yarn in my stash. Eventually, these necklaces were born.Continue reading “make | hand painted necklaces.”

flex | linen.

I decided I wanted to take another stab at a linen yarn project. A couple years back, I made the Saco Stripes tank top out of Quince and Co. Sparrow, and despite knitting the smallest size, it was way too big on me. So I gifted it off to my sister (with sadness–I really wantedContinue reading “flex | linen.”

saco stripes.

I finally finished my Saco Stripes tank top, knit up in Quince and Co.’s delicious linen yarn, sparrow, in the sans color way for the main and pigeon for the stripes. A few mods: I didn’t pick up stitches and bind off around neckline and sleeve line, because when I did, it actually looked sloppier.Continue reading “saco stripes.”

wet blocking.

Finally blocking the front and back pieces of my Saco Stripes tank top by Quince and Co. Knit using the straw and pigeon colorways of Quince and Company’s linen yarn, sparrow. All that’s left is to seam this badboy. Hope it comes out as I envisioned and the fit is right. See me wax poetic onContinue reading “wet blocking.”

saco.

The completed back of my saco stripes tank top. Knitted exactly to pattern in Quince and Co.’s sparrow linen yarn (colorways are sans for the main, and pigeons for the stripes). Already working on the front and hoping it fits like a dream. The linen yarn can be very splity when working, especially because I’m aContinue reading “saco.”
