There will be no anthro-pologies when this brilliant cardigan stuts down the city streets...
This afternoon, since its kind of gray and all the other projects I'm working on seemed dull, I decided to cast on a bulky short-sleeved cropped cardigan with no button closure inspired by all those similar delicious cardy knits they sell for exorbanant prices over at Anthropologie. My version of the purply-drool worthy item will be a bit more chunky and not as romantical because I'm using a super bulky lamb's wool and size 15 circulars--and the whole thing is pretty forgiving, really. I started with a simple ribbed neckline and am now working on the sleeves and body and this is the perfect cardigan for any unexpert knitter because there is basically no seaming. Hooray!I expect that it won't take me more than the rest of the day to get this thing finished and might I add how proud I am of myself for actually using "stitch markers" (I don't buy those doodads everyone else has that clink and clang--a few pieces of different colored yarn in bowties works swell for the hater of the stitch marker in me).I'll post a photo when its complete. If I like the way it turns out, expect me to be making these for all my friends!
