Grabbed these glasses from Easy Tiger. A great addition to our bar cart. It’s Friday. What are your favorite glasses for a nice beer or cocktail?
Everyone should own knitting themed pint glasses for beer, if you ask me. Cheers.
My guy is flying in from Phoenix for a winter trip to Boston. When its winter and cold, there’s nothing better than beers and bar snacks at home. So homemade chex mix it is, because its easy and tastes great with ale.
fruit beer, 6.19
First coast drive of the year with Esteban, results in a stop for watermelon and peach ales in Salem. Peach ale, my new thing.
…enjoying an IPA outside. sidenote: don’t know if painted nails work for me.
enjoying a delicious new albion ale while reading stuart little to tiffany. doesn’t get more librarian-like than that…right? right.
A delicious Great Divide Hibernation downtown, late afternoon. Gorgeous beers this time of year.
I always thought Shipyard Pumpkinhead was my favorite until I had my first go around with Cisco’s Pumple Drumkin. It’s gorgeous, not spicey at all, a bit deeper in flavor and full of pumpkiny goodness.
two recipe project #6, 8.15
Incredible; use beer with some taste, too, so you actually get that beer batter. I used Brew Dog’s Hardcore IPA, which is just as good coated over onions as it is going down the gullet in liquid form. Drink it, cook with it. More from the two recipe project, of course.
This is a gorgeous unfiltered beer I can’t now place the name of that r.r. had last week before we sewed some birds at Gather Here’s Etsy Craft Party. Summer, indeed. I look forward to more of it, for sure.
pints and purls, 6.2
Gorgeous BBC Coffehouse Porter; it was down the hatch at Bukowski last Thursday night with r.r., who invited me to Pints and Purls at Gather Here, a glorious new stitch house in Cambridge. Take a visit there; if you need tempting, r.r. has posted some delicious photos of the place.
Even though its no longer fall and the winter warmer’s are in our midst, I still can’t get enough of Sierra Nevada’s Autumn Tumbler. It’s so god damn delicious. I’ve got a few sixers of it stockpiled in my refridge like I’m rationing this baby through hibernation months.
