My guy is flying in from Phoenix for a winter trip to Boston. When its winter and cold, there’s nothing better than beers and bar snacks at home. So homemade chex mix it is, because its easy and tastes great with ale.

I always thought Shipyard Pumpkinhead was my favorite until I had my first go around with Cisco’s Pumple Drumkin. It’s gorgeous, not spicey at all, a bit deeper in flavor and full of pumpkiny goodness.

Incredible; use beer with some taste, too, so you actually get that beer batter. I used Brew Dog’s Hardcore IPA, which is just as good coated over onions as it is going down the gullet in liquid form. Drink it, cook with it. More from the two recipe project, of course.

This is a gorgeous unfiltered beer I can’t now place the name of that r.r. had last week before we sewed some birds at Gather Here’s Etsy Craft Party. Summer, indeed. I look forward to more of it, for sure.

Even though its no longer fall and the winter warmer’s are in our midst, I still can’t get enough of Sierra Nevada’s Autumn Tumbler. It’s so god damn delicious. I’ve got a few sixers of it stockpiled in my refridge like I’m rationing this baby through hibernation months.
