Last week, we had a few days filled with sun and above freezing temps. So, that meant whipping out the blender for a frozen treat. I like my smoothie’s without dairy products; this one is just frozen blueberries and blackberries, a few cubes of ice, 1 banana, and splash of pomegranate juice. Yum.
This smoothie thing, makin’ ‘ma days.
I have made smoothies in varying spurts over the years; but officially, as of late, I’ve found the perfect combination for my taste. These diary free smoothies are packed with frozen fruits (to make them extra cold and icy) like peaches and berries, and made a bit smoother with half a banana.
Creamy and full of flavor, without the need for yogurt or silky tofu. Hallelujah!
The weather is finally warming, which means plenty of hot weather foods. I’ve begun a pretty obsessive smoothie kick–but these smoothies are super light and vegan friendly (despite the fact I’m not a vegan!).
This particular one is composed of frozen blueberries, a handful of ice (the frozen berries reduce the amount of actual ice you need, since I’m still rocking those pesky trays), one banana, and a splash of pomegranate juice.
