I spread out a gorgeous pile of Malabrigo Merino Worsted recently purchased at Windsor Button in the hopes of finding inspiration for several fall to winter wearables: hats, mittens, and triangle scarves.
I think Malabrigo Merino might be my favorite yarn, for its subtle color changes, soft as butter feel, and general purpose usability. Though The Sanguine Gryphon Skinny Bugga! is a close second.
If you’ve never strolled through Windsor Button in downtown Boston, I have no idea what you’re waiting for. At 35 Temple Place, just near Park Street and the Episcopal Church, it’s a brilliantly sized knit and button shop.
It’s got so much yarn, its incredible, really. And so many more buttons.
This week, I bought 4 skeins of Noro there (what’s with my Noro obsession?!), as well as some Malabrigo Baby Lace Merino, which I haven’t been able to find in the colorway I’ve wanted in any local knit shops yet. But this time, oh thank you, Windsor Button.
