My facial expression looks like I sucked up several thousand pixie sticks. In fact, I just worked out the pixi elf hat.

As I mentioned earlier, I am in desperate desire to own an elfin' pixi hat, made by yours truly and complete with a baby pom affixed atop. While I hadn't even really conceived of the design much in my last post, after working on it a bit more and making some much needed tweaks, I think its actually coming along swimmingly (...and should be done within the next day).Yay.At first glance when I began the shaping (...i.e., decreasing) at the top, I felt like it wasn't going to be what I wanted, but on second thought and a few photos of myself modeling its early stages, I think I can make it exactly as I envision it in my head. The decreasing is going to be worked more drastically than that earflap hat I made for my Mum for Christmas, and I think this is what will make it elfin' and pixin'.Fingers crossed.This photo doesn't do the cherry red or cute smallness of the hat justice, but it certainly makes a serious statement about the, er, current sitchy of my crazy mop o' hair.File Under: Clearly, I should consider product, like mattaayys (a version of matte, people!) or gelish balms.
