f.o. : hilma sweater.

Honestly, this Hilma Sweater by Amy Blackwell I knit last winter was quite the labor of love. I adore Pom Pom Quarterly. Every issue, I covet a ton of the designs. And the collection as a whole is so beautiful--it's fashion.

But this Hilma Sweater.... I found the print pattern in the actual magazine to have a ton of errors and the errata on line was minimal (it may be more robust now, mind you, it's been nearly a year since I knit this so fingers crossed it's improved). I was frustrated constantly but managed to make it work.

I've since block this sweater but have not even tried it on. I want to figure out how to wear all this color--it's absolutely stunning--but haven't found my 'in' yet. I can't believe I spent all this time trying to decipher this pattern and it's sat blocked, on my table in my sewing studio attic, untouched, for nearly a year.

Let me figure this out. Would you wear it?

Project notes, as always, here. And more proper finished snaps coming--once I actually put it on my body.
