f.o. : first sets of '24 socks
Remember when I mentioned that I've spent more than a decade knitting socks for other people? And that in 2024, I was going to knit my stash to make socks just for me?
Well, here are my first two pairs made in January. The ones at left used a wild pink yarn that I won through a very long ago Valentine's sock knitting contest and I never used the prize winnings. The one at right is a recreation of a pair of socks I made this time last year and never photographed before they left me for good. I so loved the combination that I wanted to try to create it again. These are ever so slightly different but the core remains--main color is Koigu KPPM in color 2388 and the contrasting stripes and heels are in Hedgehog Fibers Sock in Heydey. I didn't use a pattern for either of these.
I'm thinking next up should be some Plain Vanilla Socks by Hiromi Nagasawa or perhaps socks with dots. What do you think?
